$50K in 30 Days Challenge for Kids!
Some parents and caregivers abuse and neglect their own children so badly that each year more than 1,000 of them end up under the protection of the Dependency Court System. In Delaware County there is an organization that exists to fight for these children.
CASA Youth Advocates is a non-profit organization whose mission is to train and supervise community volunteers to advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children to ensure these children can live in safe, permanent, and loving homes.
CASA is embarking on an important challenge called the $50K in 30 Days Challenge for Kids! The Campaign for Kids will conclude with a Holiday Fundraising Gala on December 5th at the Drexelbrook.
CASA relies 100% on fundraising from individuals, corporations and foundations. Due to the current economic climate, we now face a budgetary shortfall of $50,000 that jeopardizes our ability to protect these vulnerable children.
CASA fulfills a vital need and has served the children of Delaware County for 16 years. Without CASA, many of these children would slip through the cracks. CASA receives glowing praise from the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas.
"...when resources of the public sector are stretched so sorely thin it is my opinion that our Court would not be able to fulfill its responsibility to our young without the assistance of the selfless CASA volunteers." - President Judge Joseph P. Cronin, Jr.
We now look to the community to help meet our $50K goal so that, in this rough economic climate, no children are left behind.
Donations can be mailed to CASA, P.O. Box 407, Media PA 19063, or for more information call 610-565-2208 or visit our website at www.delcocasa.org.
You can make a difference in the lives of these children! CASA needs your support now!
