A Child’s Story Can Change When Someone Shows Up

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month (NCAPM), a time to stand up for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. With your help, CASA makes sure they never face the system alone.

WHEN A CHILD ENTERS THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM, EVERYTHING CHANGES.

Court dates. Caseworkers. New homes. Uncertainty at every turn. What many children don’t have is someone whose only job is to stand up for them.

That’s where CASA Youth Advocates comes in.

CASA volunteers are specially trained advocates appointed by judges to speak up for a child’s best interests—making sure their voice is heard when decisions about their future are made.

Because of supporters like you, they don’t have to do it alone.

What CASA Advocates Do:

CASA volunteers help ensure that children who have experienced abuse or neglect have:

  • A dedicated advocate in court focused on their best interests

  • A consistent adult presence during an uncertain time

  • A voice in decisions that shape their future

NCAPM x Delco Gives: Now is the Moment to Act.

From April 1 to May 10, donations of $10 or more to CASA count toward Delco Gives, a countywide giving campaign supported by The Foundation for Delaware County. That means your gift will help support your local community in a direct, meaningful way.
