CASA Youth Advocates, Inc. recognizes its responsibility to protect the privacy of personally identifiable information (PII) that is within the agency’s control. PII is defined as any information about any individual maintained by our organization that can be used to identify an individual, including name, social security number, date and place of birth, or other medical, educational, financial, or employment information.

CASA Youth Advocates collects data pertaining to clients, staff, volunteers, and Board members for the purpose of screening and human resources management. Data collection, storage, and dissemination by CASA Youth Advocates shall be in compliance with all applicable PCCD and National CASA standards, as well as state and local laws.

CASA Youth Advocates will collect and retain PII only when necessary for a specific purpose (case advocacy, employee screening, etc). Collected data will be maintained in accordance with its intended authorized use and according to best practice and legal requirements for the type and purpose of the data collected.
